Selva cases are made from a blend of bamboo fibre and compostable bioplastics. They protect like a regular case, feel smooth and natural in the hand, and every one is made to order.

What it's made from

The case is a blend of bamboo fibre with two bioplastics: PLA, which is made from plants, and PBAT, a compostable polymer that keeps the case flexible. It's free of BPA, phthalates and cadmium, and contains no animal-derived materials.

How it protects

It's drop-tested to 1.5 m, with a raised rim around the screen and camera. The sides have open cut-outs for your ports and covers over the buttons. Wireless charging works through the case; it doesn't have built-in MagSafe magnets.

How your design is printed

Your design is printed straight onto the back of the case with UV-cured ink and covers the whole back face. The sides stay the natural speckled colour. Choosing Natural for any part of a design leaves that area unprinted, so the case itself shows through.

Fitting and care

Plant-based materials are firmer than silicone. Fit your phone by easing it in from one corner, and never force or bend the case.
Wipe clean with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid harsh cleaning products.
Like other natural materials, the surface can soften slightly in tone over time. That's normal, not a fault.

At the end of its life

The case is made to break down in compost in around six months. Commercial composting gives the most reliable result, so check whether your local council's food and garden bin accepts compostable materials. Please don't put it in general waste or recycling.

Ordering

Which phone do I have?

On an iPhone, go to Settings › General › About and look at Model Name. On a Samsung Galaxy, go to Settings › About phone. Please double-check before you order, because each case only fits its exact model.

I chose the wrong model or made a typo. Can I change it?

Yes, if we haven't started making it. Email us as soon as possible with your order number. We check every order before it goes to print, which usually gives you until the next business day.

Why can't I use certain words?

We don't print slurs or hateful language. Everything else is up to you. If you think we've blocked something by mistake, email us and we'll take a look.

Will the colours match my screen?

Very closely, but screens vary and the natural case colour sits under the print, so pale colours can look slightly softer in person. The speckle in the material also varies from case to case.

How long does delivery take?

Your case is made within 2 to 3 business days, then posted with tracking. We'll email you the tracking link as soon as it ships. You'll see an estimated delivery date before you order.

Where do you ship?

Anywhere in Australia, with free tracked shipping on every order.

Check your tracking link first. If it's stuck or says delivered and you can't find it, email us with your order number and we'll sort it out.

Where we ship

We currently ship to addresses within Australia only. Shipping is free and tracked on every order.

Making your case

Every case is made to order. We check each order before it goes to print, and it's then made within 2 to 3 business days. We'll email you a tracking link once it ships.

Delivery times

The estimated delivery date shown when you order is a guide based on typical production and postal times. Delivery can take longer in remote areas and during busy periods. If your order is running late, email us and we'll look into it.

Your address

Please check your shipping address carefully at checkout. If you notice a mistake, email us straight away. We can update it any time before your case ships.

Changing or cancelling an order

You can change your phone model, design or wording, or cancel for a full refund, as long as we haven't started making your case. Email us with your order number as soon as possible. Once a case has been made, we can't change or cancel it.

Change of mind

Because each case is personalised and made to order, we don't offer refunds or exchanges for change of mind, including ordering the wrong phone model.

Damaged, faulty or not as ordered

If your case arrives damaged, has a manufacturing fault, or doesn't match what you ordered, email us at [email protected] with your order number and a photo. We'll replace it or refund you in full. There's no need to send the case back unless we ask.

Lost parcels

If your tracking shows no movement for an extended time, or your parcel is marked as delivered but hasn't arrived, email us and we'll work with the carrier to resolve it, including sending a replacement where needed.

Your rights under Australian Consumer Law

Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure. Nothing in this policy limits those rights.

What we collect

Your name, email address and shipping address, and your phone number if you provide it for delivery.
Your order details, including your phone model, design and any wording you add.
Messages you send us.
Basic information about how you use our website, such as pages viewed and the device and browser used.

We never see or store your full card details. Payments are processed securely by Stripe.

How we use it

To make, ship and support your order, and to send order and tracking emails.
To answer your questions.
To understand how our website and advertising perform, so we can improve them.
To prevent fraud and misuse.

We only send marketing emails if you've opted in, and you can unsubscribe at any time.

Who we share it with

We share only what's needed with the services that help us run the store:

Stripe, to process payments.
Our print and fulfilment partner, to make your case and deliver it. This includes your name, shipping address and design.
Postal and courier services, to deliver your order.
Hosting and email providers, to run our website and send emails.
Analytics and advertising services, such as Meta, to measure how our website and ads perform. These may use cookies.

Some of these providers store or process information outside Australia, including in the United States, the United Kingdom and the European Union. We don't sell your personal information.

Cookies

Our website uses cookies and similar technologies to keep your bag working and to measure site and ad performance. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; the store will still work, although your bag may not be saved between visits.

How long we keep it

We keep order records for as long as needed to support your order and meet our legal and tax obligations. Design files are deleted once your order has been delivered and any issues resolved.

Keeping it secure

We use reputable providers, secure connections and restricted access to protect your information.

Access, correction and complaints

You can ask to see or correct the personal information we hold about you, or ask us to delete it, by emailing [email protected]. If you're unhappy with how we've handled your information, email us first. If we can't resolve it, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.

These terms apply when you buy from selvastudio.shop, operated by Selva Studio ("we", "us"). By placing an order, you agree to them.

Orders

Placing an order is an offer to buy. We accept it when we start making your case. We may decline or cancel an order, with a full refund, if the design includes content we won't print (see below), if a product is unavailable, or if we suspect fraud.

Prices and payment

Prices are in Australian dollars and include shipping within Australia. Payment is taken in full at checkout through Stripe.

Your design

You're responsible for checking your phone model, design and wording before you order. Your design is printed as shown in the preview; small differences in colour, speckle and print placement are normal for a made-to-order, plant-based product and aren't faults.

Content we won't print

We don't print slurs, hateful or harassing language, or wording that infringes someone else's rights, such as trademarks you don't own. We review every order and will cancel and refund any that include this kind of content.

Australian Consumer Law

Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies any right or remedy you have under the Australian Consumer Law. To the extent permitted by law, our liability for anything else is limited to replacing the product or refunding its price.
